24
I'm going to post predictions, theories, and fears regarding the current (5th) season of Fox's 24 immediately, or as soon as possible, after the airing of the episode. I love this show and Jack Bauer is the ultimate bad-ass!
2006.02.12 - 1:22 AM [01:00 PM - 02:00 PM] - We saw the first mention of Kim, Jack's daughter. I think she will be making an appearance in the next four hours. I am really upset about the sick nut with the 15-year old girl. She handled the jerk, thankfully. I wonder about the link between the First Lady and David Palmer, especially now that she is calling the shots for Logan.
2006.02.07 - 10:49 PM [12:00 AM - 01:00 PM] - I missed the boat on President Logan's involvement in the plan. Jack has proved once again that he is not willing to take any shit from anyone. While he respects the Office of the President, he has no problem saying exactly what is on his mind. Jack Bauer is the ultimate bad-ass and everyone knows it...
2006.01.29 - 9:23 PM [11:00 AM - 12:00 AM] - Chloe's little friend is bad now, which pisses me off. I just remembered why 24 is the greatest show on television today! I absolutely love this season, and I have only been observing five hours! Jack unleashed is the best idea the producers have had because now he finally is exempt of the constraints of the government. I can NOT wait until tomorrow for the next installment. All things said, I do recall why I hate the serial format; I can not stand the suspense from week to week!
2006.01.29 - 8:06 PM [10:00 AM - 11:00 AM] - Well, it took me two weeks, but I finally got through the premier (sigh). At this point, my thoughts include the tidy nature of the premier. It was very intense, but quite compact while still doing a great job of introducing the bigger threat Jack is ultimately going to face. I still do not know the significance of the kid and his mom, but think that they are not completely safe and sound. Their envoy to CTU will probably fail or is completely fake as future leverage against Jack. The new CTU director, while a good person right now, will be a jerk for a while before ultimately being a stand-up guy. The biohazard threat hasn't been used since season #3, but time will tell...
2006.01.26 - 11:55 PM [09:00 AM - 10:00 AM] - Jack is stuck with the terrorists. All of CTU is apparently supporting him, which strikes me as a little odd, but it does not matter. While I mentioned Jack was cold before, he shows a LOT of compassion in saving that 15-year-old from the terrorists. The President does not appear to know anything now, but I feel he is in on the whole thing, and the mystery-man is still bugging me...
2006.01.15 - 10:20 PM [07:00 AM - 09:00 AM] - Wow, what a couple of hours! Not sure about much at this point. I do not like the fact that Buchanan is disloyal this early in the show. I will definitely miss President Palmer and the Tony/Michelle power-couple. The guy that appears to be pulling the strings from behind the scenes has not been identified yet. I read the AP article previewing the season, and I think I know who he is, but in no way know what he does. Jack is pissed this year, as is evidenced by the cold-blooded killing of the terrorist that shot David Palmer. While I am not sure why, I have a feeling that Kim Bauer will eventually show up this year, especially given the fact that President Palmer's brother has made what could be a significant appearance. I'll write more tomorrow night!
